About The Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished and result-oriented Zonal Manager / Business Development Manager with extensive experience in the Solar & Renewable Energy sector. The ideal candidate should possess strong regional market exposure, deep industry relationships, and a proven track record in driving large-scale business growth across Solar EPC, Rooftop, C&I, Open Access, Utility Scale Renewable Energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regional business growth for Solar EPC, Rooftop Solar, Open Access, Utility Scale, and Renewable Energy solutions
Identify and develop large business opportunities across Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Government, Institutional, Infrastructure, and Industrial sectors.
Lead end-to-end business acquisition activities from lead generation to project closure.
Develop long-term regional growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
Establish strong market presence and expand business networks within the assigned region.
Build and maintain relationships with corporates, developers, EPC consultants, electrical contractors, government authorities, and investors.
Develop and manage channel partners, distributors, system integrators, and EPC alliances.
Handle key strategic accounts and large enterprise customers.
Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and high-value deal closures.
Coordinate with engineering, project execution, procurement, and operations teams for seamless project delivery.
Prepare regional business plans, sales forecasts, MIS reports, and performance reviews.
Mentor and guide regional sales/business development teams for performance excellence.
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong expertise in Solar EPC, Rooftop Solar, C&I Solar Projects, Open Access, and Utility Scale Projects.
Excellent understanding of solar project lifecycle, commercial discussions, tendering, and bidding processes.
Strong regional market knowledge and customer network.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to handle high-value business portfolios and strategic accounts.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Energy).
MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred.
1520 years of experience in Solar / Renewable Energy industry.
Strong industry connections with corporates, developers, consultants, DISCOMs, EPC companies, and institutional clients.
Experience Handling Multi-state Or Zonal Business Operations Preferred.
Demonstrable customer base with an installed base of 50-100 MW essential
