The Village of Matteson is seeking to hire Part-time Records Clerks for the Police Department. This position is responsible for record maintenance, customer service, clerical, and cashiering duties, as well as other duties detailed in the job description.
A high school diploma and two years of related experience in police records or law enforcement are required. LEADS experience is preferred. Qualified applicants must be self-starters, possess excellent organizational skills, be capable of working with limited supervision, and be comfortable interacting with the public. Starting salary up to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience and LEADS certification.
The Records Division operates 24 hours a day/7 days per week. This is a part- time position, working 8-hour shifts and requires afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate must be available to work Thursdays midnight (12:00 am) – 8:00 am and Fridays midnight (12:00 am) – 8:00 am.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a background check, drug screen, and physical at the Village's expense prior to final selection.
