Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Perform line inspection and ensure quality compliance at all stages: raw material receipt, in-process, PDI, and final inspection.
- Carry out receiving inspection and prepare inspection reports for machined parts, tubes, and covers.
- Handle all quality activities on the manufacturing line, from raw material receipt to PDI line clearance.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation at each manufacturing stage (receiving, in-process, final).
- Conduct daily workstation-wise process audits as per the process audit checklist.
- Perform SPC, MSA studies, and participate in process and product audits.
- Conduct painting scratch tests as per defined standards.
- Analyze customer returns and warranty failure parts in coordination with internal teams and suppliers.
- Resolve in-house and customer complaints using structured problem-solving methods.
- Initiate actions to reduce in-line rejection and DPPM through effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Inform suppliers of online non-conformities within 24 hours and follow up for improvements.
- Prepare and review monthly rework and rejection reports, including PPM trends and Pareto analysis.
- Proficient in handling inspection instruments: Vernier caliper, micrometer, inside caliper, air gauge, snap gauge, VMM, etc.
- Strong knowledge of machined component inspection (in-house and outsourced).
- Working knowledge of 7 QC tools and 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Good understanding of SOPs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Control Plans, PFMEA, and inspection report preparation.
- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and related documentation.
- Capable of performing online and final inspection of manufactured parts in accordance with engineering drawings and specified requirements.
- Experience in manufacturing line inspection.
- ITI / BSc with minimum 4 years of experience, or
- DME with minimum 2 years of experience.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with production, suppliers, and quality teams.
- Willing and able to work in three-shift operations as per production requirements
