Quality Coordinator (Construction Industry Experience Preferred)

Inkers Technology

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Contract type: Full time

Company Description

Inkers Technology is based in Bengaluru with offices in USA and UAE. We specialise in designing and

developing deep large-scale AI and ML solutions for the Construction Industry. With a focus on AI,

computer vision, and deep neural networks, we have extended our capabilities into the construction

industry with our innovative AI-powered construction management solution, “Kael” — an AI project manager that predicts delays, flags risks, automates reporting, and prevents cost overruns with

real-time construction intelligence. Our hardware platform, “Observance”, uses LiDAR scanning,

thermal imaging, and AI-powered analysis to deliver BIM Models, deviation detection, and as-built

intelligence. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology across diverse sectors.

Role Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to manage on-site quality assurance and control activities across civil, MEP, and finishing works. This role ensures construction quality meets project specifications, regulatory standards, and client expectations — and that all inspection data, defect records, and corrective actions are logged and tracked in the project management platform so they are visible in real time. The team operates with an AI-powered project management platform as its primary working tool — all field information must be captured into the platform in real time, and its outputs used to drive delivery. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Inspection

  • Conduct structured quality inspections across civil, MEP, and finishing works against approved drawings, specifications, and IS/NBC standards.
  • Ensure all materials are tested and records are filed before use on site.
  • Ensure all permanent equipment entering the site has undergone the relevant quality checks and records are maintained before installation.
  • Witness critical quality inspections and ensure testing procedures comply with relevant IS codes.
  • Raise, document, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and snag items with responsible contractors.
  • Review contractor method statements and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for adequacy and compliance.
  • Coordinate third-party testing, laboratory tests, and independent inspections as required.

Defect Management & Reporting

  • Review and address defects identified through scan-based outputs from the Observance platform; link corrective actions to relevant tasks.
  • Log inspection outcomes, defect classifications, and snag closure status in the platform daily.
  • Identify repeat defect patterns by contractor, trade, or floor and drive targeted corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular quality compliance reports for client and internal review.
  • Supplement the project team with training on quality aspects as needed.

Client & Statutory Compliance

  • Assist in preparing quality documentation packages for authority inspections, third-party audits, and client handover.
  • Ensure RERA-compliant quality records are maintained and audit-ready at all times.
  • Coordinate quality walk-throughs with clients, PMC representatives, and independent inspectors.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of quality assurance or quality control experience on construction projects.
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of BIS standards, NBC requirements, and construction QA/QC procedures.
  • Experience using digital snag management or project management tools is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, document, and track defects systematically.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and report preparation.

Work Location : Ahmedabad (On-site)

Note: All candidates will be required to attend a one-week induction at our Bangalore office prior to deployment.
