The Production Engineer-Electrical will be responsible for optimizing electrical manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality product output, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our production facilities. This role involves a blend of technical problem-solving, process development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve production excellence.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Design, develop, and implement efficient electrical manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for new and existing products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical production issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Select, specify, and qualify electrical components, equipment, and tooling for production lines.
- Develop and maintain detailed electrical assembly instructions, test procedures, and quality control documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and seamless transfer to production.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and waste reduction (Lean manufacturing principles).
- Conduct time studies and process capability analyses to optimize production efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and company policies.
- Participate in equipment maintenance planning and support, including calibration and preventative maintenance schedules.
- You will be ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing or production engineering, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, components, and systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes, including soldering, wire harnessing, PCB assembly, and electrical testing.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations is a plus.
