We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, resilient, and high-performing technology platforms. This role is ideal for a technology leader who combines deep architectural expertise with strong collaboration skills and a passion for enabling engineering excellence across teams.

As a Software Architect, you will play a critical role in defining architecture strategies, establishing engineering standards, and guiding the development of distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented platforms. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to shape technical solutions that align with business objectives while ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience designing complex software ecosystems, modern cloud-native architectures, and service-based platforms. You will serve as a technical mentor and strategic advisor, helping teams make sound architectural decisions, reduce technical debt, and build solutions that can evolve with changing business needs. This role also offers the opportunity to influence the adoption of AI-assisted development practices and emerging technologies that enhance engineering productivity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Strategy & Design

• Define and drive enterprise-wide architecture principles, patterns, standards, and best practices.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
• Lead the design of microservices, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks that support business growth and platform scalability.
• Establish architectural governance processes to ensure consistency, interoperability, and alignment across technology initiatives.
• Identify and prevent architectural drift by maintaining clear system boundaries, domain models, and service ownership structures.

Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical leads and developers to review designs, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing, design reviews, and best practices.
• Influence technical decisions across teams without relying on direct reporting authority.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical craftsmanship.

Solution Delivery & Collaboration

• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in solution design discussions from concept through implementation and production deployment.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches to support future business requirements.
• Ensure solutions are designed with scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and operational readiness in mind.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges and drive successful project outcomes.

Modern Engineering Practices

• Promote adoption of cloud-native development practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
• Guide teams in implementing monitoring, logging, tracing, and reliability best practices.
• Support the integration of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows to improve productivity and software quality.
• Drive initiatives focused on reducing technical debt, improving system performance, and enhancing platform resilience.
• Use operational metrics, system performance data, and user feedback to continuously refine architectural decisions.

Documentation & Governance

• Create and maintain architecture documentation, design standards, decision records, interface specifications, and reference architectures.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure architecture decisions are documented, communicated, and consistently applied across projects and teams.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience in Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Technical Leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to define architecture principles, governance frameworks, and engineering standards that support scalability and long-term maintainability.
• Deep understanding of domain-driven design, system boundaries, service decomposition, and architectural patterns.
• Experience working in polyglot technology environments with exposure to languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar modern programming ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, modern application architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, observability frameworks, monitoring tools, and cloud-native technologies.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, code generation platforms, developer copilots, or AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Proven track record of guiding teams through complex technical decisions and large-scale platform evolution initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make pragmatic architectural decisions in ambiguous environments.
• Experience influencing engineering teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong documentation skills, including architecture decision records, technical standards, and solution blueprints.
• Experience leveraging operational insights and performance metrics to improve platform reliability and reduce technical debt.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
