Job Description

CSA - Primary English Teacher

Purpose of Role

To deliver engaging and effective English language instruction aligned with the Cambridge Primary English curriculum, developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while nurturing a love for language and literature.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver English lessons for Primary grades as per Cambridge Primary English framework
• Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and grammar
• Use phonics-based and language-rich teaching strategies for early learners
• Encourage creativity through storytelling, role play, and age-appropriate literature
  
  

Curriculum & Assessment

• Prepare lesson plans, learning objectives, and teaching resources aligned with Cambridge standards
• Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain student progress records
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents to support learning outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  
  

Classroom Management

• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Foster good classroom discipline and promote respectful behavior
• Use ICT tools to enhance language learning
  
  

Student Development

• Support students’ social, emotional, and language development
• Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support
• Encourage participation in reading programs, assemblies, and literary activities
  
  

Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with grade-level teachers and coordinators
• Participate in curriculum planning, professional development, and school events
• Stay updated with Cambridge teaching methodologies and assessment practices
