Job Role
- Design plastic injection moulds from concept to manufacturing stage.
- Prepare 3D mould assemblies and detailed 2D drawings.
- Design core, cavity, inserts, slides, lifters, cooling and ejection systems.
- Work on multi-cavity, hot runner and complex injection moulds.
- Review product designs for DFM and mould feasibility.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room, Production and Quality teams during mould manufacturing and trials.
- Support mould trials, identify design issues and implement required modifications.
- Troubleshoot mould-related issues and improve mould performance.
- Prepare and maintain BOM, drawings and mould documentation.
- Review junior designers' work and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- 3–10 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection mould design. Stron
- g knowledge of core & cavity, slides, lifters, cooling and ejection systems. Exper
- ience in multi-cavity, hot runner and complex moulds. Good
- understanding of DFM, mould manufacturing and mould trials. Profi
- ciency in any one CAD software: SolidWorks / NX / CATIA / Creo. Good
- knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings. Diplo
- ma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Production Engineering or related field. Good
- problem-solving, communication and coordination skills. Abili
- ty to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Candi
- dates with plastic injection mould manufacturing / tooling experience will be preferred.
