Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Consultant (Contractor to Hire Role)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Principal/Senior Principal Consultant who can independently deliver Oracle Fusion HCM solutions and lead end-to-end implementation activities.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise across Oracle Fusion HCM, with the ability to independently implement at least two HCM modules and lead key phases including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration/build, testing, deployment, and go-live support.

Depending on specialization, the role may have a Functional, Technical, or Techno-Functional focus. The consultant will work directly with customer stakeholders, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, apply Oracle implementation methodologies and leading practices, and provide leadership on moderately complex engagements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or independently deliver end-to-end Oracle Fusion HCM implementation cycles, from requirements and solution design through testing, deployment, and go-live support.
• Configure and implement Oracle Fusion HCM modules, with demonstrated capability to independently deliver a minimum of two modules.
• Conduct business-process mapping, requirements analysis, gap assessment, functional/technical design, documentation, testing, UAT, and production-readiness activities as applicable.
• For technical or techno-functional assignments, design and deliver solutions using HCM Extracts, HDL, Fast Formulas, OIC, OTBI, BI Publisher, REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and data-conversion tools as relevant.
• Manage cross-module dependencies and translate customer HR/business requirements into effective Oracle Fusion HCM solutions.
• Consult effectively with customer management and global stakeholders, providing recommendations on process optimization, Oracle HCM leading practices, and quarterly updates.
• Operate independently while maintaining quality, delivery standards, documentation, and adherence to Oracle methodologies and procedures.
• Lead project workstreams or teams where required and contribute to customer engagement and business-development activities.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory

• 5+ years of relevant Oracle Fusion HCM experience, with consulting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM expertise across functional, technical, or techno-functional delivery.
• Experience across 4+ Oracle Fusion HCM modules, with the ability to independently implement at least two modules.
• Participation in at least two end-to-end Oracle Fusion HCM implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant HCM business processes and Oracle HCM leading practices.
• Functional candidates should demonstrate configuration and implementation capability in relevant modules such as:
• Global HR / Core HR and Workforce Structures
• Absence Management, Time & Labor, Workforce Management
• Performance, Goals, Career Development, Succession or Talent Review
• Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Recruiting Booster or Onboarding
• Compensation, Benefits or Global Payroll

• Technical candidates should demonstrate relevant expertise across tools such as:
• HCM Extracts
• HCM Data Loader
• Fast Formulas
• OTBI / BI Publisher
• Oracle Integration Cloud
• REST / SOAP APIs
• Data migration/conversion
• Role-Based Security
• Ability to independently analyze complex requirements, develop solutions, and deliver quality work products.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with customer organizations and global delivery teams.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to travel as required.

• Oracle Fusion HCM certification(s).
• Experience with Redwood UX and emerging Oracle Cloud capabilities.
• Knowledge of global HR compliance, localization, and country-specific HCM requirements.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies.
• Breadth across both functional configuration and technical HCM tools.
