Republic Media is looking for passionate and experienced News Reporters to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate should have strong reporting skills, excellent news sense, and the ability to deliver accurate, timely, and impactful stories across television and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover breaking news, political developments, crime, business, entertainment, sports, and social issues across West Bengal and other assigned locations.

• Gather, verify, and report news with speed, accuracy, and editorial integrity.

• Develop exclusive stories through strong networking and source management.

• Conduct live reporting, interviews, and on-ground coverage for major events and special assignments.

• Coordinate closely with the Input Desk, Output Desk, and Assignment Desk teams for comprehensive news coverage.

• Write clear, accurate, and engaging news copies for television and digital platforms.

• Stay updated on current affairs and proactively identify story opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with editorial guidelines, ethical journalism, and factual reporting.

• Represent Republic Bangla professionally while interacting with government officials, political leaders, public representatives, and other stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.

• 2–8 years of experience in television news reporting journalism.

• Strong understanding of current affairs, politics, governance, and regional issues.

• Excellent reporting, interviewing, and storytelling skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver during breaking news situations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in political, crime, business, or investigative reporting.

• Strong network of contacts across government departments, political parties, law enforcement agencies, and public affairs.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced 24×7 newsroom environment.
