We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) with 2-5 years of hands-on experience managing MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, availability, security, and reliability across production and development environments.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL administration.
  • Good understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools and procedures.
  • Knowledge of replication, failover, and high availability configurations.
  • Experience in performance tuning and monitoring tools.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

System and Tools

  • Experience working on Linux-based environments.
  • Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., database monitoring, system monitoring).
  • Understanding of data security and access control mechanisms.
