Supports quality assurance activities within manufacturing, focusing on real-time defect prevention and problem resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Measurement & Inspection Activities
  • Perform dimensional inspection of components, assemblies, and prototypes using appropriate measuring equipment.
  • Conduct layout inspections and product validation measurements as per customer requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, and customer standards.
  • Prepare dimensional reports and measurement analysis reports.
  • Support product qualification and PPAP submissions.
  • CMM & Advanced Measurement Systems
  • Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Develop and optimize measurement programs.
  • Validate CMM inspection methods.
  • Utilize advanced measurement technologies such as:
  • Vision Measurement Systems
  • Optical Comparators
  • Metrology Laboratory Management
  • Ensure smooth operation of the Metrology Laboratory.
  • Maintain environmental conditions required for accurate measurements.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of measuring instruments.
  • Establish and maintain laboratory procedures and work instructions

Education and Knowledge

  • BE/ B. Tech (Mechanical)
  • Mechanical Diploma

Critical Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Automobile.
  • 3–4 years of experience in Metrology Laboratory, Quality Measurement, or Dimensional Inspection in the Automotive Industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and tolerance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM programming
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment: CMM, VMM, etc.
  • Experience in automotive/precision manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Exposure to MSA, PPAP, APQP, and IATF 16949 requirements.
