The Role

Our client is seeking a MERN Stack Developer in the Insurance division.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top-tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level.

Job Description:

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced MERN Stack Developer with 6–7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, along with working knowledge of Python. Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack.
• Build responsive and high-performance front-end interfaces using React.js.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Work with MongoDB for data modeling, database design, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile development activities.
• Integrate third-party services and RESTful APIs.
• Work on deployment, monitoring, and application performance improvements.
• Use Python for scripting, automation, or auxiliary development tasks where required.
• Support cloud-based deployments and operations on Azure or AWS.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6–7 years of experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with the MERN stack.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and web application architecture.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud services.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
• Exposure to serverless architecture.
• Knowledge of unit testing and test automation.
• Understanding security is the best practices in web application development.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
