Are you interested to be part of growing our footprint and presence in India? Do you have experience from business development and leading teams, both in consulting assignments and as a team manager? We are now looking for an Market Manager to lead New Delhi office.

Business Sweden has been present in India since 1995 and with a team of about 35 employees across our offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Together, we make up one of the most successful, progressive, and dynamic business units in Business Sweden in the fast-growing economy in the world.

As Market Manager you will be responsible of leading, developing and inspire the Consultancy team in New Delhi and you will report to the Trade Commissioner, India. You will be responsible for sales, delivery, and profit/loss for New Delhi office. Your job will encompass a diverse range of assignments and a high level of responsibility, that makes the work truly dynamic and challenging. The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as:

  • Drive client dialogues and insight driven initiatives of new business opportunities, as well as prospecting and developing customer value propositions.
  • Client dialogues are expected to be carried out independently where you will conduct outreach, proposal development and closure.
  • Lead and drive sales of consulting services to existing or potential Swedish subsidiaries located in India and region APAC.
  • Develop the team together with Market Managers and Trade & Invest Commissioner to India.
  • Possess exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills to interact with key stakeholders ranging from clients, governmental agencies, colleagues and team members.
  • Support Indian companies to navigate opportunities in Sweden and support with high value investments, drive market insights, strategic advice
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing team by contributing to externally published project deliveries and market insights, bringing value proposition for our clients and lead trade/invest promotion activities

The role is based in New Delhi, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required. The job could during times involve an extensive amount of travelling.

  • Formal requirements

    • Higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering
    • Background as a management consultant and relevant work experience for at least 12-15 Years (Project Manager level)
    • Experience from business development and leading teams, and an interest in developing and growing talent
    • Successful sales and strong client service business acumen, with a proven track record of developing and executing deals with deep customer insight, strong negotiation and closing skills
    • Experience of interaction with external stakeholders, ideally both government and private sector
    • Previous experience from working with management consulting or other advisory services on India/APAC market is highly meriting
    • A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is a requirement
