Responsibilities

  • Design and Development of Reverse Switch Sensor and Neutral Position Sensor subsystem
  • Release prototype and production designs meeting functional, assembly, and service requirements
  • Define and validate sensor functional logic for reverse and neutral detection
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for design and detailing
  • Participate in VAVE workshops and achieve cost targets
  • Lead product development from RFQ to SOP
  • Define and execute component and system validation plans
  • Lead supplier technical reviews and APQP/PPAP activities
  • Identify risks and drive DFMEA actions
  • Support program milestones for cost, quality, and delivery
  • Resolve field and validation issues using structured problem-solving

Requirements

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Discipline.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Manual Transmission design and development specially in Torque Transfer subsystem & Bearings – Taper roller, Ball, Cylindrical, Ball cage
  • Should have sound knowledge on design & assembly of rotating components.
  • Should have hands on experience on Detailing, Tolerancing and stack up analysis.
  • Duty cycle and mission profile understanding
  • L10 Life & Bearing load calculations
  • Should have good knowledge manufacturing processes- Machining operations alongside Material standards, Coating and heat treatment process.
  • Should have good knowledge of APQP processes.
  • Should have very good soft skills.
  • Should be able to lead team of engineers.
