Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Manager (Civil) to oversee and ensure the highest construction quality standards on high-rise residential and institutional building projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing QC procedures, conducting site inspections, managing material testing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and statutory codes.

Experience: 12 years in civil construction quality control, with specific experience in high-rise and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans for civil construction activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and surveillance of construction works, including RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing.
• Ensure that work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, IS codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and verify material quality, perform sampling, and ensure testing as per standards (e.g., cement, concrete, steel, bricks, aggregates, etc.).
• Maintain comprehensive quality records, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
• Ensure third-party lab testing is conducted as required and results are analyzed appropriately.
• Participate in pre-pour inspections, slab casting approvals, and material approval processes.
• Identify and report quality deviations and ensure timely rectification.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers and contractors on quality best practices.
• Participate in client and consultant inspections, and support project handover documentation.
• Contribute to continual improvement in construction processes and quality performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on quality control experience in high-rise and institutional building projects.
• Thorough knowledge of IS codes, NBC, CPWD specifications, and relevant construction standards.
• Experience in handling quality documentation, audits, and client-facing reviews.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC management tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) or similar.
• Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Experience in green building (IGBC/GRIHA) compliance is a plus.
