JOB DESCRIPTION LMS MANAGER Position Details Position Title: Manager – Learning Management System (LMS) Department: Centre for Distance & Online Education (CDOE) Reports To: Deputy Registrar – CDOE Supervises: LMS Executives, Technical Assistants, LMS Support Staff Employment Type: Full Time Position Purpose The Manager – LMS shall be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and continuously improving the University's Learning Management System for Online and Open & Distance Learning (ODL) programmes. The role ensures that the LMS supports academic delivery, learner engagement, digital assessments, faculty enablement, regulatory compliance, analytics, quality assurance, and integration with ERP and other academic systems. The Manager shall also ensure compliance with UGC-DEB Regulations regarding learner support, digital learning resources, assessment management, academic record maintenance, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities 1. LMS Strategy & Administration

• Lead the overall administration of the University's LMS.
• Develop LMS operational policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure uninterrupted LMS services throughout the academic year.
• Manage LMS upgrades, maintenance, and optimization.
• Recommend technology enhancements aligned with institutional objectives. 2. Academic Delivery Management
• Ensure all approved programmes are available on the LMS before semester commencement.
• Monitor semester-wise course readiness.
• Verify proper mapping of: o Programmes o Courses o Faculty o Learners o Academic Calendar
• Ensure timely activation of learning resources. 3. Digital Learning Resource Management
• Supervise uploading of: o Self Learning Materials (SLM) o e-Books o Video Lectures o PPTs o Reading Materials o Assignments o Question Banks o Interactive Learning Resources
• Ensure version control of all academic resources.
• Coordinate with content developers for periodic updates. 4. Faculty Enablement
• Organize LMS orientation programmes.
• Train faculty members on: o Course Management o Online Teaching o Attendance o Assignment Management o Quiz Creation o Gradebook o Discussion Forums o Student Analytics
• Provide continuous technical guidance. 5. Learner Support Management
• Ensure timely resolution of LMS-related learner queries.
• Monitor learner grievances.
• Develop FAQs and user manuals.
• Improve learner experience through continuous feedback. 6. Online Teaching & Live Session Monitoring
• Monitor scheduling and execution of live classes.
• Ensure recordings are uploaded.
• Track attendance.
• Monitor faculty engagement. 7. Assessment & Examination Support
• Supervise: o Quiz Management o Assignment Submission o Internal Assessment o Online Examination Configuration o Grade Publication
• Coordinate with Examination Cell. 8. Learning Analytics Develop dashboards for:
• Student Login Activity
• Course Completion
• Attendance
• Faculty Engagement
• Assignment Status
• Learner Progress
• Student Retention
• At-Risk Learners Provide periodic reports to management. 9. Quality Assurance Conduct regular LMS audits covering:
• Course completeness
• Broken links
• Content quality
• Accessibility
• Faculty responsiveness
• Learner participation Recommend corrective actions. 10. Regulatory Compliance Ensure LMS compliance with:
• UGC-DEB Regulations
• NAAC requirements
• Centre for Internal Quality Assurance (CIQA)
• Academic Audit
• Digital Record Maintenance Support all statutory inspections. 11. ERP & Technology Integration Coordinate integration of LMS with:
• ERP
• Student Information System (SIS)
• Payment Gateway
• Digital Library
• Examination Portal
• CRM
• Video Conferencing Platforms 12. Team Management
• Supervise LMS Executives.
• Allocate responsibilities.
• Monitor performance.
• Conduct periodic reviews.
• Mentor team members. Educational Qualification Essential
• Master's Degree in Computer Science / IT / Education / Management / MCA or equivalent. Preferred
• Certification in Moodle Administration, LMS Administration, Project Management, or Educational Technology. Experience
• 5–8 years in LMS Administration, Educational Technology, Online Learning, or Higher Education IT.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role. Technical Skills
