About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Laser, Dispensing & Adhesive Process Lead to drive process development, optimization, and production excellence in advanced manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for leading laser processing and adhesive/dispensing technologies, ensuring robust process capability, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end process development for Laser, Dispensing, and Adhesive applications in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Define process parameters, machine settings, and control plans to achieve quality and productivity targets.
- Drive process qualification, validation, and capability improvement activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing readiness.
- Develop SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with Product Design, Quality, Tooling, Automation, and Production teams.
- Lead troubleshooting activities related to laser welding/marking/cutting and adhesive dispensing processes.
- Drive yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Mentor and guide engineers and technicians to build technical capability within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Laser processing (welding, marking, cutting, or related applications)
- Adhesive dispensing systems
- Process validation and qualification
- Manufacturing process optimization
- Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, DOE, SPC, MSA, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience in automation-integrated manufacturing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering is an added advantage.
- Experience in Electronics, Battery, Automotive, Semiconductor, or Precision Manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 and data-driven process monitoring.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification preferred.
