Lead II - Software Engineering - Java Senior Developer

Role description

Looking for a strong backend developer with hands-on experience of 7+ years in Java-based application development and microservices architecture. The candidate should have expertise in Spring Boot, API development/integration, Kubernetes deployment, and asynchronous messaging systems. Exposure to monitoring, logging, and API management tools is preferred. The candidate should also be capable of leading technical discussions, mentoring team members, driving solution design, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and integrate REST/SOAP APIs.
• Work on Kubernetes-based deployments and containerized applications.
• Implement and support asynchronous messaging solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application enhancements and issue resolution.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Splunk and Grafana.
• Work with API Gateway configurations and Newman scripts for API testing.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team, including code reviews, design guidance, and adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Lead technical design discussions and support solution architecture decisions for new features and enhancements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other teams to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Drive issue resolution for complex technical challenges and provide guidance during production support activities.
• Support sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical risk identification to ensure successful project execution.

Experience Range

9-12 years preferred with experience leading development initiatives or acting as a technical lead for critical application components.
