The Opportunity

BETA is a self-clearing securities processing platform that supports critical back office, middle office, and front office capabilities for wealth management firms.

We’re seeking a Specialist, Quality Engineer (Automation) to join one of our Scrum teams and help shape how quality and automation scale across customers facing financial platforms. This role goes beyond test execution, you’ll influence test strategy, automation standards, and quality gates, while owning the end-to-end quality of your team’s deliverables. You’ll partner closely with developers, product owners, and fellow QEs to ensure our solutions are reliable, maintainable, and ready to scale.

About The Team

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Development, you’ll be embedded within a team supporting primarily customer-facing web applications and services. As part of our global Quality Engineering organization, you’ll help expand and stabilize our automated testing capabilities while working in a hybrid model alongside teams based in Bangalore, India.

What You’ll Do

Quality & Test Strategy

  • Own the overall quality of your team’s deliverables across functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Review product requirements and design effective test plans, scenarios, and test cases with clear traceability
  • Partner with stakeholders to define testing scope, inputs/outputs, and quality expectations
  • Apply risk-based thinking to prioritize high value test coverage and release confidence


Automation & Execution

  • Design and build automated tests for UI and/or API layers with an automation first mindset
  • Maintain reliable, maintainable, and scalable automation suites with strong regression value
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) to provide fast, actionable feedback
  • Execute and support testing activities including functional, integration, regression, and UAT support


Continuous Improvement

  • Manage defect reporting and proactively identify systemic quality risks
  • Troubleshoot failures end-to-end across automation code, environments, test data, and application defects
  • Mentor peers and contribute to evolving automation practices and standards
  • Passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and participating in technology communities.


Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 6–8 years of experience testing complex web-based applications
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, negative, integration, and system testing
  • Strong programming experience in at least one modern language used for test automation (e.g., C#, Java, or TypeScript)
  • Experience building and maintaining UI automation using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium or Playwright)
  • Experience testing APIs using industry standard tools (e.g., Postman, ReadyAPI, or similar)
  • Experience using BDD style frameworks (e.g., Cucumber or equivalent)
  • Solid fundamentals in debugging, triage, and root cause analysis, including pipeline failures
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within Agile/Scrum environments


Nice to Have

  • Software testing certification
  • Experience across multiple automation stacks or languages
  • Exposure to AI assisted testing or automation acceleration (e.g., improving test design, maintenance, or failure triage using AI)
  • Familiarity with financial services or regulated domains
