ASSOCIATE - CUPOLA CONTROL ROOM

Responsibilities

  • Take the charge from previous shift associate including proper house-keeping.
  • Ensure all PPE are in place
  • Check 11 meter axis register entry .
  • Check that during breakdown & shutdown maintenance people are working with proper Work permit and LOTO
  • See the production plan, all process parameters related to production, the size of raw-material is as per specification or not and check the recipe of raw material and coke, if any change done in process parameter or in recipe inform to executive engineer-production.
  • Check the schedule of next iron tapping (whether it is on line or off line) and spinner-change and if any product change over or any major downtime then ask executive engineer-production to club them.
  • Fill log-sheet/log bookes (PR/ML-F-11, PR/ML-F-12, PR/ML-F-19)
  • Tell QC to check the coke moisture and ask QC for LOI reading at appropriate time.
  • If any break-down or any abnormality, any trouble shooting in cupola or in process then inform to executive engineer-production and maintenance immediately
  • Before product change or iron tapping inform to executive engineer-production, curing oven department, cold-end department, electrical and mechanical maintenance department.
  • Log the PKF before shift end.
  • Keep continues watch on charging, co-combustion parameter, SPC chamber, spinner, binder, cupola and spinner cooling display on Wincc, melt position on spinner, pendulum swing on CCTV camera display.
  • Maintain proper house-keeping of equipment, floor and control-room.
  • Reviewing process parameter sheet of cupola during production & to inform executive engineer-production if any deviation.
  • Handover charge to next shift associate including proper house-keeping.
  • Before product change over ensure that we have proper set-up for new product and curing oven and cold-end associate are ready with new product set-up.
  • If any feedback from QC or executive engineer-production related to defect in product inform to field associate and take necessary action to rectify the problem.
  • To perform other ad HAC job given by immediate supervisor.
