This position is based in Vadodara, India as a permanent work-from-office role. The standard shift is 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST.
The Data Engineer will lead the end-to-end data lifecycle for system transitions, focusing heavily on both data extraction from legacy environments and migration into modern target systems. You will utilize advanced T-SQL and Excel to isolate source data, map schemas, and execute secure transfers while maintaining data integrity.
Required Technical Skills:

T-SQL Development: Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to transform and migrate enterprise data.

Data Validation: Conduct row-count reconciliations, data type handling, and integrity checks to guarantee target data accuracy.

Microsoft Excel Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel functions (XLOOKUP, Power Query, Pivot Tables) to profile legacy data, identify anomalies, and prepare flat-file data sources for ingestion.

Data Assessment & Mapping: Analyze relational schemas and spreadsheets to build source-to-target data mapping documentation.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity and troubleshoot row-count reconciliation and data type mismatches.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, business owners, and solution architects.
