Infrastructure Engineer
Asymbl
Asymbl is The Workforce Orchestration Company. We help staffing and recruiting firms bring people, AI, and software together as one hybrid workforce. We create the software, we put the AI to work, and we have the consulting expertise to orchestrate it all.
Position Overview
You’ll own the cloud foundation behind Asymbl Intelligence, the platform behind our products: the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and security that let our engineering teams ship safely and at scale. You keep the platform reliable, secure, and cost-efficient, and you make shipping to production routine for every engineer.
The infrastructure you own carries AI workloads, large data sets, and integrations our customers rely on every day, for a platform that is growing fast. You’ll work closely with our Enterprise Architect and the engineering teams, with real ownership of how the platform operates and the freedom to automate and improve the way we work.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the cloud infrastructure and delivery tooling for the Asymbl Intelligence platform, in line with the architecture and security standards set by the architecture team.
Cloud Infrastructure
- Build and manage infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and AWS using Infrastructure as Code (such as Terraform)
- Run and scale managed services across databases, messaging, and serverless compute
- Support infrastructure for AI workloads, including model provider access and the data stores and platform services those workloads depend on
CI/CD and Developer Experience
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment across environments
- Manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud Run) and environment configuration
- Give engineers fast, reliable tooling so shipping to production is routine
Reliability and Monitoring
- Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards across services
- Take part in a rotating on-call schedule (including some US-hours coverage), lead incident response and root-cause analysis, and support Customer Support and Delivery teams on production issues
- Plan backups, disaster recovery, and capacity, and keep runbooks and procedures documented
Security and Cost
- Manage identity and access (IAM), secrets, and network security with least-privilege access
- Support security reviews, audits, and compliance requirements
- Track and optimize cloud spend, with budgets and cost governance in place
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4 to 7 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering
- 2+ years running production workloads on Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of GCP and/or AWS core services: compute, networking, storage, databases, and IAM
- Experience with Terraform or a similar Infrastructure as Code tool
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud Run)
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
- A security-first approach and good judgment on cloud cost
- Clear communication and comfort working with teams across time zones
- Relevant certifications are welcome but optional: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting AI or LLM workloads in production
- Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
