Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion ERP PPM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials and Project Portfolio Management (PPM). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Oracle Financials business processes, functional configurations, implementation methodologies, and industry best practices.

The candidate should have experience in managing functional responsibilities across end-to-end Oracle Fusion ERP implementation projects, from understanding customer requirements and analysing business processes to system configuration, functional documentation, testing, and implementation support. The role requires the ability to work independently on complex customer engagements, deliver quality functional solutions, and collaborate effectively with clients and technical teams. The candidate should also possess excellent communication and client-handling skills and be comfortable travelling onsite for short-term or long-term assignments as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently on Oracle Fusion ERP functional consulting engagements and deliver quality work products within defined project timelines.
• Understand client business requirements, existing processes, and functional expectations to identify suitable Oracle Fusion solutions.
• Conduct customer requirement analysis and participate in discussions with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Configure Oracle Fusion Financials and Project Accounting modules based on customer requirements and business process needs.
• Provide functional expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Project Portfolio Management.
• Handle functional activities related to Project Costing and Project Billing within Oracle Fusion PPM.
• Participate in end-to-end implementation activities, ensuring that functional requirements are appropriately understood, documented, and configured.
• Prepare functional design documents outlining business requirements, proposed solutions, configurations, and expected system behaviour.
• Develop and prepare test scripts to validate configured functionalities against the defined business requirements.
• Support functional testing activities and assist in identifying and resolving issues during implementation.
• Work closely with technical teams and provide functional clarifications required for development and technical implementation activities.
• Coordinate with customer stakeholders throughout the engagement to ensure alignment between business expectations and proposed functional solutions.
• Apply relevant industry best practices and product knowledge while designing and delivering solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Manage assigned functional deliverables independently while maintaining quality and consistency across project activities.
• Be prepared to travel onsite for short-term or long-term assignments based on customer and project Skills and Experience :
• Overall experience of 8+ years in Oracle Financials implementations in a functional consulting role.
• Strong functional knowledge and working experience in Oracle Fusion Financials modules, including :
• General Ledger (GL) : Understanding of general ledger processes and related financial configurations.
• Accounts Payable (AP) : Functional knowledge of accounts payable processes and configurations.
• Accounts Receivable (AR) : Understanding of receivables processes and related functional requirements.
• Fixed Assets (FA) : Knowledge of fixed asset processes and functional configuration.
• Project Portfolio Management (PPM) : Strong knowledge of Project Accounting, including Project Costing and Project Billing.
• Experience in at least 2 end-to-end Oracle Fusion implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience in customer requirement gathering, business process analysis, and functional solution design.
• Practical experience in Oracle Fusion functional configuration and implementation activities.
• Experience preparing functional design documents and test scripts.
• Ability to provide functional guidance and clarifications to technical teams during project execution.
• Ability to independently manage functional responsibilities and deliver solutions for complex customer Competencies :
• Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion ERP functional processes and implementation practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer relationship management and client-handling abilities.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and recommend appropriate functional solutions.
