Node-RED development: 3+ years building and deploying production flows – function nodes, subflows,

custom nodes, context, error handling, dashboard, Git projects

 Node-RED management platform: FlowFuse or equivalent – instance provisioning, snapshots /

versioning, dev-to-production pipelines, remote device agents

 Node-RED flow standardisation: reusable subflow / template libraries, naming and topic conventions,

common error handling and logging, coding standards and review checklists

 Rockwell PLC programming: ControlLogix / CompactLogix in Studio 5000 – ladder, structured text,

AOIs, UDTs, tags, MSG instructions, EtherNet/IP

 Siemens PLC programming: S7-1200 / S7-1500 in TIA Portal – LAD / FBD / SCL, FBs / FCs, DBs, S7

and OPC UA communication

 Siemens CNC – SINUMERIK 840D sl: machine data, NC program basics, alarms, operating modes,

SINUMERIK Operate and OPC UA interface for collecting machine, program, alarm and axis data

 PLC debugging: online monitoring, tracing values and handshakes, checking communication status

 Industrial controls & automation: machine states, cycles, alarms, interlocks; sensor → PLC → edge

→ enterprise data flow

 MQTT: Mosquitto / EMQX / HiveMQ – topic design, QoS, retained messages, TLS / mTLS, ACLs,

bridging

 JSON, JSON Schema & data validation: payload design, schema versioning, validation and handling

of invalid data

 Docker: Docker and Docker Compose on IPCs and VMs

 IPC / VM / Linux: Ubuntu / RHEL basics, networking, SSH, logs; Windows IPC basics

 Additional (good to have): Python / C# / Go; OPC UA, Modbus TCP, Profinet, Sparkplug B; HMI /

SCADA; Siemens / Rockwell edge platforms; OT networking and IEC 62443 awareness
