  • Documents activities consistent with clinic Guidelines and maintains a safe and clean working environment
  • Understands medications, surgical instruments, consumables as well as emergency medications and should arrange them quickly to respective centres within in a short time.
  • Understands the pharmacopeia and also should be enthusiastic in ordering the items, procurement, and interacting with the distributor network in a polite manner.
  • Maintains the medications in alphabetical order, by category, by generic name wise and by brand.
  • Coordinate with the drug distributor to ensure ordering of complex medications as needed by the patients in a short while.
  • Maintains the pharmacy accordingly with the basic stock and should be able to tract inventory in the provided software also should be able to track data in excel.
  • Evaluates the appropriateness of medication orders for patients of all ages, diseases, and conditions. Responds to inappropriate orders appropriately.
  • Provides therapeutic drug monitoring education, provides drug information to patients and provides patient education as identified and as requested.
  • Should have knowledge in Oncology medications, drug dose calculations and explaining discharge medications in a systematic manner.
  • Should have knowledge in understanding schedule wise drugs, differentiating the medications as per category like High-Risk Medications, Emergency Medications, Look A Like and Sound A Like.
  • To connect with pharmacy and nursing team in providing the indent on day-to-day orders.
  • Should understand the return policy to send to distributors as well as near expiry medications as per NABH norms.
  • Participates in clinical and interdisciplinary patient care team and respond to the doctors, co-employees in a polite and understandable manner.
  • Skills Required:
  • Good communication skills, patience and energy along with the ability to converse fluently in English, Hindi and Telugu are a must.
  • Should possess the ability to persuade through good communication skills.
  • Ability to speak with doctors directly in case anything required in an emergency basis and understand their needs from the pharmacy
