We are looking for a result-driven professional who understands how government procurement actually works—not just in theory, but on the ground. The candidate must have hands-on experience in selling commercial vehicles through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal and physical tendering processes across state and central government departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop business opportunities in government departments, PSUs, municipalities, and institutional buyers
  • Handle end-to-end sales via GeM portal:
  • Product listing, bid participation, L1 strategy, order processing
  • Track and participate in physical tenders:
  • Tender search, documentation, pricing strategy, submission, and follow-up
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in government bodies
  • Coordinate with internal teams for pricing approvals, vehicle availability, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure timely submission of EMD, tender documents, compliance certificates, etc.
  • Drive closure of deals and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets
  • Maintain database of upcoming tenders and procurement cycles

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in government sales / institutional sales (preferably commercial vehicles or automotive sector)
  • Strong working knowledge of GeM portal operations
  • Experience in physical tendering and documentation
  • Good network within government departments in West Bengal is a big advantage
  • Understanding of commercial vehicle specifications and applications
  • Strong negotiation and follow-up skills (this role is persistence-heavy)
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel, email drafting, and documentation

  • Experience in selling trucks, buses, or LCVs (especially Ashok Leyland or similar brands)
  • Prior experience dealing with departments like:
  • PWD, Municipal Corporations, Transport Dept, Police, Defence, PSUs
