Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Position Description: We are seeking an experienced and technically visionary Guidewire Architect to lead the design, development, and technical governance of our Guidewire implementation programs [PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter]. In this role, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and high performing technical solutions. You will lead our transition to/management of Guidewire Cloud, design complex integrations, and mentor our engineering teams to ensure adherence to coding and architectural best practices. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, communicating proposed solutions through the lens of operational and business impact.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Solution Architecture: Design end to end technical solutions within the Guidewire suite, balancing custom Gosu development with out of the box (OOTB) capabilities to minimize technical debt.

  • Integration Design: Architect robust, secure, and scalable integrations between Guidewire and internal/external third party systems using REST APIs, SOAP, messaging queues, and middleware.
  • Cloud Strategy: Lead technical initiatives related to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), including cloud migrations, upgrades, and optimizing cloud native architectures.
  • Technical Governance: Define technical standards, conduct code and architecture reviews, and ensure the development team follows Guidewire best practices.
  • Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and reliability of the Guidewire application.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a technical leader, coaching and mentoring Senior/Junior Developers, Tech Leads, and QA engineers.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Must Have Skills:

15+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years of hands on experience in Guidewire Configuration and Integration.

  • 3+ years of experience specifically in a Technical or Solution Architect role.
  • Deep technical expertise in Gosu, Java, Web Services (REST/SOAP), XML, JSON, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience with Guidewire Cloud deployments and upgrades.
  • Active Guidewire Certifications are highly recommended.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical trade offs to IT leadership.

Good to have Skills:

  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON, Messaging, and Batch Processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
