Job Responsibilities :

Purpose of the Role - To learn and gain experience with respect to safe operation Plant equipment and processes, while adhering to established safety procedures and guidelines, Learn Plant Hazards, Safety procedures and Work permit system all while upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities -

• Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance -
• Monitor and control field equipment using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), LLF checklists, and On-Demand Readings (ODR) instruments.
• Conduct condition monitoring using portable instruments and perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate closely with the shift superintendent and panel executive to ensure seamless operations.
• Collect and deliver samples from the field for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate logs and records related to the respective area/equipment, ensuring timely documentation.
• Safety and Hazard Management: -
• Identify potential safety improvements and contribute ideas to enhance the overall safety culture.
• Handle hazardous materials and plant wastes in accordance with established protocols.
• Support and collaborate with contract workers to ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Abide by and promote safe operating procedures within the designated operating range.
• Act as a first responder to emergencies, ensuring swift and effective action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
• Collaborate with safety engineers and stakeholders to promptly report, investigate, and address safety concerns.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement -
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as field executives and shift field engineers to facilitate smooth plant activities.
• Work closely with contractors to ensure effective communication and execution of tasks, while maintaining safety standards.
• Compliance and Permit Management -
• Sign off on permits after ensuring they are free from hazards and align with safety requirements.
• Coordinate with the safety in-charge to ensure permit-related processes are followed and documented accurately.
• Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Enhancement: -
• Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in operational processes and safety procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest safety guidelines, management methodologies (TQM, EFQM, QCC, 5S), and technical knowledge relevant to the field.
  
  
  

Education Requirement :

• Necessary: Diploma in relevant engineering discipline, Bsc/Msc Chemistry
  
  
  

Experience Requirement :

• Necessary: - 0-2 Years
• Familiarity with field locations and plant equipment.
• Desired:
• Proficiency in using On-Demand Reading (ODR) devices.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and understanding of minor maintenance tasks

• Achieve a minimum of 95% compliance with safety procedures and guidelines.
• Successfully respond to and manage emergencies with a 100% success rate.
• Implement at least 2 safety improvement suggestions per quarter.
• Complete 100% of equipment monitoring checks as per SOPs and SOCs.
• Contribute to waste reduction by suggesting and implementing 1 improvement per month in chemical handling and waste management.
• Suggest and implement measures to improve operational efficiency, resulting in a 5% increase in equipment performance over the year.
