We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Experienced Associate to join the Assurance FSG Team in our National Assurance practice.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our Assurance – Experienced Associate FSG and as an Audit Industry Experienced Associate FSG, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to clients in the Finance sectors. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand industry-specific challenges and provide actionable insights that drive business performance.

Experienced AssociateRole Summary

Experienced professional responsible for executing audit procedures under GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), and PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures in accordance with GAAS and PCAOB standards.
• Prepare audit workpapers that support financial statements prepared under GAAP.
• Identify potential issues and escalate appropriately.
• Support junior associates as a buddy and guide them on audit processes.
• Begin performing basic review of work prepared by entry level associates.
• Ensure compliance with professional and firm ethical standards during all engagement phases.

• Basic knowledge of accounting and auditing requirements.
• Attention to detail and adherence to firm documentation standards.
• Ability to execute audit programs and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  
  

Education & Credentials

• 1-2 years of audit experice in US Public Accounting Firm preferably with Financial Services experience – hedge funds or private equity funds or fund of funds.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Qualified CPA or Candidates pursuing CA / CPA.
  
  

Delegation / Decision Authority

• Required to complete assigned tasks under supervision and must notify their supervisor if anything unusual or unexpected occurs.
• Not expected to make independent decisions that impact clients or budgets.
