Engine R&D Specialists

Job Location: Centre of Innovation & Technology (CIT), Jaipur

Hero MotoCorp is hiring experienced engineering professionals to join our Engine Design & Development (EDD) team at our state-of-the-art R&D Center—Centre of Innovation & Technology (CIT) in Jaipur.

This is a single consolidated application portal for multiple specialized engineering tracks within the Engine R&D division. Candidates with expertise in any of the specific domains listed below are encouraged to apply.

1. Engine Design Engineer

• Experience Required: 8+ years in Automotive R&D (2-Wheeler preferred).
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering

Core Responsibilities & Skills:

• 3D modeling, 2D drafting, layout, packaging, and design calculations for core engine components (crankcase, cylinder head, piston, crankshaft, valve train, transmission, etc.).
• DFM/DFA feasibility discussions with suppliers, DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and 8D failure analysis.
• Expertise in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter PLM.

2. Engine Simulation Engineer – 1D/3D CFD & Thermal

• Experience Required: 6 to 10 years in 2W/Automotive R&D.
• Education: M.Tech in Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

Core Responsibilities & Skills:

• 1D/3D CFD simulations covering in-cylinder flows, fuel-air mixing, combustion, lubrication, and conjugate heat transfer (CHT).
• Mesh generation, solver setup, and post-processing using GT-Suite, STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, AVL FIRE, or Flowmaster.
• Scripting skills (Python, Java, or macros) for simulation automation and optimization.

3. Engine Testing & Calibration Engineerhttps://forms.gle/Z63kZEfZDpiCh6Fu7

• Experience Required: 5 to 8+ years in engine testing, rig development, or calibration.
• Education: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Core Responsibilities & Skills:

• Calibration Track: Execution of motorcycle calibration (steady-state testbeds, vehicle dyno, EOBD, drivability, ride-mode emissions, and fuel economy).
• Testing & Rig Track: Defining part-level testing methodologies, developing custom test equipment/rigs, instrumentation, special fixtures, and establishing SOPs.
• Familiarity with statistical data tools (e.g., ReliaSoft) and calibration post-processing tools.
