Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Data Quality Operations Lead to oversee data quality initiatives for a portfolio of strategic clients. This role serves as the primary liaison between the client and internal operational teams, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of critical business data.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, strong client-facing experience, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage data quality operations in a fast-paced US BPO environment. The candidate will work closely with client stakeholders, internal operational teams, engineering, analytics, and leadership to drive continuous improvements in data quality, reporting, and operational excellence.

This position requires regular interaction with client teams and therefore demands excellent verbal and written communication, professional presentation skills, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary Data Quality Point of Contact for assigned client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, business reviews, and operational discussions.
  • Communicate data quality updates, risks, issues, and resolutions effectively.
  • Manage client expectations through proactive communication and timely follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Data Advisory, and Operations teams to ensure client satisfaction.

Data Quality Ownership

  • Own end-to-end data quality management for assigned client portfolios.
  • Conduct periodic data quality assessments and health checks.
  • Monitor data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Identify data anomalies, duplicates, missing records, overlaps, and data gaps.
  • Ensure all data quality issues are tracked, prioritized, and resolved within agreed timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall data quality performance.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare and deliver recurring operational and data quality reports.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
  • Create dashboards, trend analyses, Pareto reports, and executive summaries.
  • Present insights and recommendations to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting records.

Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead data quality incident investigations and resolution activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Document incident findings, lessons learned, and process improvements.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and maintain quality control processes and standards.
  • Develop SOPs, playbooks, operational guides, and knowledge repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and client-specific quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, Analytics, Operations, and Customer Success teams.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Support implementation of new tools, technologies, and automation initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement and operational transformation projects.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • Data Quality Management
    • Data Operations
    • Business Operations
    • Data Governance
    • Client Services or Account Management
  • Minimum 2+ years of direct client-facing experience.
  • Experience working with US clients and global teams preferred.
  • Proven experience managing multiple client accounts or operational portfolios.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • SQL (Preferred).
  • Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting Tools.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Utility Data Management.
  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate, Energy, or Sustainability domains.
  • Knowledge of ENERGY STAR, GRESB, ESG, or GHG Reporting Frameworks.
  • Experience working with SaaS platforms.
  • Exposure to Data Governance and Data Quality Frameworks.
