The Role

We’re looking for an early-career Data Engineer who’s excited to solve complex data problems in a fast-moving startup. Your work will focus on building and maintaining pipelines, validating and cleansing data, and ensuring data quality and reliability.

While you’ll have exposure to a variety of tools and languages, the most important part of this role is how you approach problems—breaking them down, thinking critically about solutions, and delivering results with clarity and independence.

This is a role where you’ll grow quickly, take on meaningful responsibility, and directly shape the systems that power our platform.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain data pipelines that move and transform data reliably.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.
• Cleanse, validate, and standardize datasets to ensure consistency and trust.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to deliver the right data in the right form.
• Work closely with ML engineers to support predictive model needs.
• Document processes and communicate clearly so others can build on your work.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience writing scripts or small applications to solve data problems (Python, TypeScript, or similar).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, d3.js, etc.).
• Comfort learning new tools and adapting to different parts of the data stack.
• Clear communication, initiative, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative problem-solving mindset—able to find practical solutions when problems are ambiguous.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure).
• Experience with orchestration tools (Azure Data Factory, ELK Stack, etc.).
• Experience building and maintaining APIs (FastAPI, Express, etc.).
• Familiarity with financial, healthcare, or other sensitive data domains.
