The content and programming team at Hotstar is responsible for creating engaging, high-quality shows across both Long-Run Series (LRS) and Short-Run Series (SRS). The team partners with production houses, creative agencies, and internal stakeholders to research, conceptualize, and deliver original properties designed exclusively for the platform. With expertise spanning storytelling, production management, graphics, and compliance, the team ensures that all content aligns with Hotstar’s creative vision and quality benchmarks. By combining audience insights with innovative storytelling formats, the team drives Hotstar’s mission to deliver compelling entertainment experiences that resonate with digital-first audiences.

Reporting To

Vice President – Creative and Content (JioHotstar), Telugu.

• Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end production and execution of LRS & SRS content properties, ensuring timely delivery and high creative standards.
• Drive content ideation, development, and execution aligned with audience preferences and platform objectives.
• Manage production planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with production houses on storyboarding, concept development, and scripting to shape compelling narratives.
• Manage in-house and external production teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of content.
• Oversee day-to-day production operations including delegation, crisis management, and forward planning.
• Work with creative teams to design and implement desired graphic effects and transitions.
• Ensure all content delivered complies with S&P (Standards & Practices) guidelines.
• Understand and apply digital rights requirements associated with video/audio content, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

• Familiarity with post-production processes, including graphics, effects, and transitions
• Awareness of compliance requirements, content standards, and digital rights management.
• Preferred Education & Experience
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Media, Mass Communication, Film Studies, or related field
• 8–12 years of experience in content development and production, preferably in digital or television entertainment
• Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end production cycles (concept to delivery)
• Prior exposure to digital platforms or OTT content creation strongly preferred
• Understanding of rights management, contracts, and compliance within the media industry
