The India team is looking for a talented, versatile, and driven journalist with at least two years of reporting experience to help cover one of the world's most dynamic corporate landscapes. The role combines fast-paced breaking news and day-to-day company coverage with opportunities to pursue initiative stories for a global audience and conduct reporting on the ground. The successful candidate will be a strong reporter, clear writer and collaborative teammate who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and is excited by the challenge of covering India's rapidly evolving business landscape.

About The Role
- Be comfortable working with facts, figures, and financial data.
- Be familiar with the India file and what makes a strong Reuters story.
- Demonstrate strong news judgment, sharp writing skills, and the ability to handle Reuters' fast-paced news file.
- Be a proactive reporter who can jump on breaking news, interview senior executives, and pursue trend and initiative stories with ease.
- Communicate effectively with reporters, desk editors, and colleagues across India and globally to ensure seamless coverage.
- Thrive under pressure, consistently delivering spot stories, snaps, and initiative stories to deadline.
- Be versatile and willing to contribute across snapping, reporting, and writing as newsroom needs evolve.
- Uphold Reuters' standards of accuracy, fairness, and independence in all reporting.
- At least two years of reporting experience.
- Knowledge of India Inc., business and financial markets, or the ability to develop expertise quickly.
- Strong command of English, with excellent reporting and writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented newsroom.
- Flexibility to work shifts that may begin anytime between 7 a.m. and noon.
