Job Description

• Responsible for Procurement of IT Hardware, IT software & Cybersecurity for Siemens Ltd – Smart Infrastructure
• Pooling of Demand across various Business Units in SI
• Single point of contact with supplier for this commodity
• Mandatory involvement in sourcing decision during Bid & Execution Stage in Projects
• Frame and Rate Contracts for the commodities and Products
• Implementation of Global contracts across the Business units
• Supplier Management (Market scan, Prepare & implement Supplier Strategies, Supplier Qualification, Supplier database for commodities)
• Ensure usage of correct ESN codes resulting in Correct Purchasing
• Develop cost model with help of Cost value engineers (if applicable)
• Tracking of price and technology trends for the commodity – Information Sharing through Commodity Report
• Periodic Commodity meeting with BU’s
• Risk Mitigation through alternate source identification.
• Periodically connects with Global Commodity Managers for information sharing and updates.
• Drive Cybersecurity topics with Vendors to ensure compliance and mitigate Risks.
• Drive the usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Procurement.
• Support IT Hardware & Software procurement in GSW business
