Job Overview

To ensure the successful execution of pre-commissioning, installation, commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities by meticulously preparing and reviewing contracts, schedules, and technical documents. Efficiently resolve issues, manage resources, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. Provide hands-on technical support and continuous improvement feedback to enhance project outcomes. Ensure comprehensive documentation and adherence to IMS procedures for seamless project handover and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review contract for pre commissioning, installation, commissioning, FAT, SAT and resolve queries if any
• Prepare/Review project schedule & cost for pre commissioning, installation, commissioning, FAT and SAT
• Review and follow technical documents line Part list, P&ID, PFD, SLD, Schematic, IO list, GA drawing, Installation drawing etc.
• Prepare/Review Installation and Operation Manual
• Prepare/Review/Develop
• Monitor project cost procedures/formats/checklist/RACI matrix/progress reports etc. for pre commissioning, installation, commissioning, FAT, SAT activities.
• Responsible for carrying out in process and final walk through of plant.
• Prepare/review loop test document for pressure testing at factory.
• Responsible for carrying out FAT of equipment. For example: Chiller/lube oil skid individual Test Run
• Participate and contribute to HAZOP for the Air Separation Plant.
• Responsible for PSSR (pre-start up safety Review)
• Resolve departmental as well as outside issues to complete project on time
• Prepare monthly project progress report and communicate the same with the customer
• Responsible to follow IMS procedures.
• Authority to approve the planned changes to the IMS as needed.
• Identify Risk and Opportunities.
• Identify Needs and Expectations of interested parties.
  
  

Rapid Issue Resolution:

• Collaboration: Work closely with field engineers and project engineers to gather information and understand the root cause of problems.
• Immediate Response: Provide prompt solutions or workaround strategies to minimize downtime and keep the project on track.
  
  

Effective Communication:

• Stakeholder Coordination: Keep project managers and clients informed of any issues and the steps being taken to resolve them.
• Documentation: Ensure all communications and resolutions are properly documented for future reference and accountability.
  
  

Resource Management :

• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources to ensure that critical issues are resolved first.
• Prioritization: Determine the priority of issues based on their impact on the overall project timeline and resources available.
  
  

Coordination With Project Engineers:

• Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to project engineers on any design or execution issues discovered during commissioning.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements for future projects based on lessons learned from the current commissioning process.
  
  

Technical Support:

• On-Site Assistance: Offer hands-on support to field engineers during the commissioning process to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
• Adaptation: Adjust or modify system parameters based on feedback from the field to ensure successful operation
  
  

Handover And Documentation:

• Issue Tracking: Maintain an up-to-date log of all issues encountered and resolved during the commissioning phase.
• Final Reporting: Compile detailed reports on the commissioning process, including all challenges faced and how they were overcome.
• Handover: Ensure that all resolved issues and modifications are included in the final handover documentation provided to the client.
  
  

Authorities:

The role is authorized to approve contracts and technical documents, manage project schedules and costs, conduct plant walkthroughs, and carry out FAT, HAZOP, and PSSR. It includes resolving project issues, managing risks, following IMS procedures, and approving changes. The role also involves effective communication with stakeholders, efficient resource allocation, providing technical support, and documenting all issues and resolutions. Additionally, the role is authorized to prepare detailed commissioning reports and ensure all resolved issues are included in the final handover documentation.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
