Position Overview

A senior leadership position within a financial services organization, responsible for driving and scaling its mortgage business across Home Loans, Loan Against Property (LAP), and Affordable Housing Loans. The role oversees business strategy, sales, credit, risk management, operations, collections, compliance and team leadership, while working closely with the organization’s top leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the mortgage business strategy aligned with organizational goals to drive growth and profitability.
• Drive AUM growth, disbursement volumes, and profitability across Home Loans, LAP, and Affordable Housing segments.
• Identify and develop new geographies, builder tie-ups, DSAs, digital channels, and strategic partnerships.
• Build and manage branch-led, DSA, builder, and alternate channel networks to enhance sourcing productivity.
• Monitor sales KPIs including login-to-disbursement ratio, ticket size, yield, and turnaround time (TAT) to ensure high-quality sourcing.
• Own mortgage credit policies, underwriting standards, and approval matrices ensuring robust property due diligence and legal evaluations.
• Monitor portfolio health metrics such as delinquencies, GNPA/NNPA, roll-backs, and early warning signals balancing growth with asset quality.
• Drive operational excellence through seamless loan origination, documentation, disbursement, and post-disbursement processes with a focus on automation and digitization.
• Oversee collections strategy across early, bucket, and recovery stages ensuring compliance with fair practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to RBI/NHB guidelines, internal policies, and audit standards, coordinating with Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit teams.
• Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across sales, credit, operations, and collections with clear KRAs and performance metrics.
• Drive training, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives to build organizational capability.
  
  
  

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• Experience: 18–25+ years in Mortgage, Housing Finance, NBFC, or Banking with proven success in scaling Home Loans and LAP businesses.
• Leadership: Experience managing large, multi-location teams and pan-India operations with direct reporting to senior executives.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of mortgage products, credit underwriting, property due diligence, SARFAESI, collections, and regulatory frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Strong strategic and commercial acumen, excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, data-driven and customer-focused mindset, with high integrity and compliance orientation.
