Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage and process billing activities related to Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in accordance with hospital policies and government regulations.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to CGHS and follow up on pending or denied claims for resolution.

• Reconcile accounts to ensure all transactions align with patient records and financial statements. • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline billing processes and improve revenue cycle management.

• Handle patient inquiries related to billing and insurance claims, providing clear and effective communication.

• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and billing standards to minimize errors and discrepancies.

• Review and verify patient billing data, ensuring accuracy in the billing system and adherence to CGHS guidelines.

• Coordinate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to resolve claim disputes and discrepancies efficiently.

• Prepare regular reports on billing activities, account reconciliations, and revenue trends for management review.
