Position Summary

The Associate Engineer – Mechanical CAD Specialist supports Mechanical Design and Senior Mechanical Engineers by converting design concepts into detailed mechanical models and drawings. The role is focused on execution, drafting accuracy, and documentation quality for modular buildings and mechanical assemblies.

This position does not include mechanical system design authority or responsibility for engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update mechanical CAD models and detailed drawings
  • Prepare workshop, fabrication, and manufacturing drawings
  • Apply design markups, redlines, and change requests accurately
  • Maintain 3D and 2D models in accordance with project and drafting standards
  • Coordinate with BIM and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency
  • Maintain CAD file organization, revision history, and version control

AUTHORITIES

  • Update and revise mechanical CAD drawings based on approved engineering inputs
  • Implement changes following engineering review
  • Escalate drawing inconsistencies or technical questions to Mechanical Engineers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in mechanical CAD or drafting roles
  • Experience with Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
  • Experience with Revit is preferred.
  • High level of attention to detail and drafting accuracy
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
