We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Client Management Support
In this role, you will:
- Work with the servicing team to oversee the full mandate lifecycle—including Bank Mandate setup, amendments, renewals, and removals—ensuring thorough documentation review, authority validation, and ongoing maintenance for corporate and institutional clients.
- Provide legal and regulatory guidance on Bank mandates, signatory authorities, and corporate resolutions across multiple jurisdictions. Draft, review, and negotiate documents such as Board Resolutions, Powers of Attorney to ensure compliance and appropriate coverage of all products and services required by the Client
- Participate in discussions with Relationship Management, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to facilitate efficient mandate review and execution. Handle complex mandate scenarios involving multi-jurisdictional groups, trust structures, custodial arrangements, and fiduciary roles
- Ensure prompt resolution of mandate-related queries and discrepancies through effective stakeholder engagement. Drive process standardization initiatives to enhance customer experience and reduce turnaround times for mandate. Review, analyze, and validate entity formation documents as well as corporate authority documentation
- Provide operational support for legal documentation. Interpret and apply legal and regulatory requirements impacting mandate operations including KYC, AML, sanctions screening, FATCA & CRS compliance. Engage with country and regional legal teams to ensure understanding of local legal and regulatory requirements
- Support audit and regulatory examination processes by providing documentation and responding to queries. In complex legal matters requiring guidance of legal teams from the jurisdiction in scope of the case, liaise with internal legal teams. Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, operational, compliance, and reputational risks in mandate processing.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and reporting capabilities to monitor inherent risks. Support risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) and business control reviews (BCR). Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and policy guidelines governing client documentation and mandate governance.
- Drive automation of legal risk checks and reconciliation tools to reduce manual errors and enhance assurance. Serve as primary operational contact for internal stakeholders including Relationship Managers, Product Teams, Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions. Manage client communication regarding mandate requirements, documentation submissions, and processing timelines
- Facilitate coordination across global teams and time zones to support cross-border mandate requirements. Prepare management reports, presentations, and status updates for senior leadership. Build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Lead legal aspects of change initiatives impacting the mandates team, including migrations, system upgrades, and regulatory transitions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging legal innovation and standardization.
To be successful you will:
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate law, banking regulations, corporate governance, and entity structures including partnerships, corporations, trusts, funds, and special purpose vehicles covering various jurisdiction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Working knowledge of KYC, AML, FATCA, sanctions screening, and other banking regulations impacting banking operations. Documentation Review: Ability to review, interpret, and validate complex legal documents including statutory documents and corporate authority documents.
- Banking Operations: Understanding of account opening processes, mandate management, signatory verification, and operational workflows in banking. Risk Management: Strong risk and control awareness with ability to identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Serve as primary operational contact for internal stakeholders including Relationship Managers, Product Teams, Legal, Compliance, and Risk function. Manage client communication regarding mandate requirements, documentation submissions, and processing timelines. Facilitate coordination across global teams and time zones to support cross-border mandate requirements
- Prepare management reports, presentations, and status updates for senior leadership. Build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and operations staff
- Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve client experience. Support implementation of technology solutions and automation initiatives for mandate operations. Contribute to development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, training materials, and knowledge repositories
- Manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines in a dynamic environment. Drive adoption of best practices and lessons learned across the operations team. Support change management activities related to regulatory, product, or technology changes. All applicants must have successfully completed their probation period.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required; preference will be given to those with qualifications in Law (LLB), Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields. Legal qualifications (LLB/LLM) required due to the legal nature of mandate documentation. Applicants must consistently meet the performance and behavioural standards outlined in company policy.
