DESCRIPTION
As an Account Manager you must be passionate about understanding the range of advertising products, business drivers for performance etc. and act as a consultant to advertisers enabling them for success.
You will play a key role in the Ad Ops team as the gateway associate for all new advertisers (national & international) entering the platform — guiding them through account registration, setup, recharge assistance, and successful launch by partnering with internal fin-ops and cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful account launch into IN marketplace. Post onboarding, you will also manage a dedicated portfolio of advertisers — owning campaign setups, optimizations, and ad business development.
Key job responsibilities
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Serve as the entry point gateway associate for all new advertisers registering on the platform — managing end-to-end account setup and launch
Assist international advertisers with recharge-related processes by partnering with internal fin-ops and cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful account launch into IN marketplace
Build solid relationships with advertisers, displaying a dedication to delivering first-class service and advertising solutions
Flawlessly execute end-to-end campaigns, liaising with advertisers to align to advertiser priorities
Effectively align spends for defined cadence (week / month / quarter / sale event)
Analyze campaign performance against key metrics to identify, recommend, and implement optimizations to increase efficiency, drive high renewal rate, and meet advertiser KPIs
Keep regular track of defect metrics (like high ACoS) and ensure timely nudge to advertiser for course-correction
Monitor and communicate campaign progress to the advertiser through regular, in-depth activity reports and insights, using this knowledge as a basis for future campaigns
Leverage our suite of rich data, targeting, and product channels to collaborate with the other teams in the development of tailored solutions that meet advertiser goals
Drive operational excellence to ensure SLA adherence and client satisfaction Basic qualifications

About the team
Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and ecommerce, offering advertisers innovative solutions across Amazon's mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices, and DSP platforms. We believe that advertising, when done well, enhances the customer experience and delivers positive ROI for our advertising partners. We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our talented Ad Ops team to help scale our growing Advertising program. Account Managers partner with category teams and other internal Amazon business stakeholders to drive advertiser success.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or Master's degree
- Proven ability to manage the business "by the numbers". Must be metrics-driven. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. Experience working with SME retailers or sellers is an advantage. Experience with e-commerce, digital advertising, or media would be an advantage. Understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors is desirable. Experience onboarding new products/services into emerging markets is desired.
