About This Role

As a CPAM Accounting Specialist you will ensure accounting activity related to the fixed asset accounting for the region recorded within the company’s records and books are accurate and complete. You will need to be able to demonstrate technical expertise in process implementation, fixed asset accounting, and adherence to established accounting policies. Adept at supporting business management with insightful financial analysis and guidance, particularly during system changes and M&A activities. In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others. It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

• Lead and support system and process implementations; and explore and implement changes that further automate and optimize work process
• Maintain and ensure compliance with accounting policies, area work process documentation, recommend updates to accounting policies due to change in authoritative guidance
• Record and maintain accurate accounting records; and perform regular analysis and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts
• Prepare fixed asset schedules, complete period close activities and support audit requirements.
• Provide expert guidance and second-level support to fixed asset team members for ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with global teams on M&A activities to finalize the process and test system; support and deliver training to capital project leaders and other stakeholders with accounting and system guidance; and perform fixed asset related analysis as requested.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accountant or US CPA preferred
• Core Fixed Asset Accounting or equivalent accounting experience (6+ years)
• Strong SAP experience in Fixed Asset Module (3+ years)
• Experience of working with US based MNC
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient through job training and experience to perform tasks with limited supervision
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP Fixed Asset module preferred); proficient in automation and productivity tools such as excel (advanced formula, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills; Fluent in written and verbal English
• Process oriented and strong technical knowledge in US GAAP, especially fixed asset accounting
• Highly motivated with strong aspirations to achieve and develop.
• Highly collaborative. Able to work across levels & roles.
