About- A world class EMI/EMC (Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility) Test Facility is presently being established at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, which is funded by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The proposed facility would conduct the electromagnetic interference and electrical safety tests required for various electronic devices and medical instruments as per IEC 60601, CISPR 11, and CISPR 16 standards. Eligibility/Qualification–
Technology Manager (Quantum Communication)
Eligibility PhD (or equivalent degree) in Quantum Physics/Optics/ /Telecommunication/Cryptography/Relevant Discipline, or otherwise, BTech/MTech R&D Engineer with experience in Quantum Communication Technologies Desired qualification Post-Doctoral/Hands-on experience in Quantum Communication domains: Quantum Key Distribution (QKD)/ Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)/Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG)/Relevant Discipline 3-5 yrs. experience of handling R&D Projects as mentor/team leader Experience 3-5 years of experience in Technology management role

Eligibility PhD (or equivalent degree) in Condensed Matter Physics/Materials Science/Chemistry/Relevant Discipline Good understanding one or more areas in materials science, growth/synthesis technologies & Devices Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (for communication with T-Hubs/TGs, national/international experts, and stakeholders of NQM) Demonstrated high-level analytical ability Demonstrated capability of writing scientific/technical reports & proposals, presenting at national/international events Strong record of peer-reviewed publications, patents Capability to work independently as well as in a team MCC (NQM) has the right to relax qualifications & experience for deserving candidates with the approval of the Competent Authority. Desired qualification Post-doctoral and or hands-on experience in Materials science/Growth/Synthesis technologies/Devices/Relevant Discipline 3-5 yrs. experience in handling R&D Projects as mentor/team leader Experience 3-5 years of experience in Technology management role

Position Technology Manager (Quantum Communication) No. of positions 04 Location Kanpur/Delhi NCR Consolidated Salary range Rs.1,35,400 – 2,11,200/- Working hours 9.30 am – 6.30 pm Roles and Responsibilities Review literature on Quantum Communication, and produce write-up in form of report/article/presentation etc. Manage NQM T-Hub (Thematic Hubs) and TG (Technical Groups) R&D projects related to Quantum Communication, and facilitate coordination among the projects Coordinate between T-Hubs/TGs and experts for project review/guidance Collect, store, compile, and analyze data of projects from T-Hubs & TGs, prepare reports, organize meetings for project progress review/ranking exercises Appointment Initially for a period of two year from the extension period or performance/requirement of the project.
