Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
- Devise and implement efficient sourcing and procurement strategies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and cost optimization.
- Acts as an integral part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and develops, and maintains good relationships with vendors and distributors.
- Identifies and negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, shipping, and/or transportation companies.
- Identifying alternate vendors for continuous optimization of the procurement process and ensuring seamless production and recommend methods to reduce expenditure management KPIs.
- Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain, cost optimization and profitability for the company.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain and introduces enhancement metrics.
- B.E/B.tech - Mechanical, MBA in Supply Chain Management or a similar relevant field.
- 04 - 08 years experience in Vendor Development & Procurement.
- Proficiency in Vendor Development & Procurement of the manufacturing sector, or consumer electronics / eCommerce industries.
- Supplier Evaluation, Identification & Selection based on Standards like ISO, and IATF.
- Good Exposure to Various Manufacturing Processes.
- Good Exposure to the Supplier base of Pan India as well as Global.
- Basic Understanding of Drawing & Technical specification.
- Good understanding of Price Negotiation & Costing.
- Knowledge of global sourcing while handling end-to-end supply chain management.
- Basic understanding of the logistic process (Import-Export).
- Highest level of integrity
- Sense of ownership and pride in his/her performance and its impact on the company’s success.
- Cost Control/ Consciousness and excellent negotiation skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Vendor/Contract management.
- Experience in forging/HT/machining process.
- Have an exceptional collaborative relationship with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
- Hands-on experience with any SCM tool usage and leverage to decision-making.
