Job Description
As an Area Sales Officer, you will be responsible for managing sales and distribution operations within your assigned territory for our domestic business. You will be expected to drive sales growth, manage relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned area.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
Monitor competition within assigned region. Prepare and submit reports to the Head of Sales & Distribution.
Attend sales and networking events to build relationships and promote the company's products.
Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales.
Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network to ensure the comprehensive availability of the company’s products and services across your assigned territory.
Conduct regular market intelligence activities to understand competitor activities, market trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the domestic trade market, excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and a proven track record in sales management. Strong analytical skills are also required to understand market trends and competitor behavior. The candidate should also have a global mindset, strong business acumen, and demonstrate excellence in people management and entrepreneurship.
