Overview

This career opportunity is a Partner level in our Consumer consulting business unit. The role as a Global Retail, Services & Transportation (RSAT) Consulting Partner will lead growth of the consulting business across strategic account(s) by leveraging both; existing & emerging capabilities, in addition to creating new strategic growth areas to deliver significant profitable growth for the accounts and consulting globally.

This career opportunity is with the Retail, Transportation and Services sector. This sector focuses on Business and IT engagements for Fortune-500 and Global-2000 clients around the world covering a diverse set of sub-verticals including Retail, Distribution Travel, Transportation, Hospitality and Services. The successful candidate will drive, define, and support consulting engagements and capabilities in the Retail, Transportation and Services sector in North America. S/he will also enable the opening of new engagements, drive the adoption of differentiated solutions, and build the Industry Domain & Consulting Practice.

Our Consulting Partner is expected to build C-level relationships, and leverage strategic partnerships as relevant for business growth strategy, in collaboration with the Global Account Executives and other business leaders globally.

Location

This hire can be based in India where Wipro has an office. S/He will need to travel as required, and travel may vary significantly based on the executive’s home location and other factors.

Responsibilities

  • Growth: Work with the leadership team to define a sound business growth strategy for designated strategic account(s). Ensure the consulting business opens new business opportunities and expands Wipro’s client positioning.
  • Relationships: As a Consulting Partner you bring deep expertise and good industry connections to develop the consulting and advisory business.
  • Solutions: Identifying & defining differentiated services and solutions for various process areas within designated strategic clients.
  • Customer Centricity: Delivering customer value as a central theme across all activities. Ensuring Wipro is delivering as a partner and aligned to client/customer value and strategic goals.
  • Branding: Leverage the above to help create strong Wipro Market Positioning and increasing Wipro’s mindshare.

Skills And Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

Wipro seeks a hands-on, proven, and results-oriented consulting executive in the RSAT Sector. A deep understanding of retail, transportation, distribution and logistics, business transformation coupled with a digital-first mindset is required. The successful candidate will be a bridge builder capable of connecting the dots between business, process, technology, and the customer.

Desired Experiences, Skills And Expectations

  • Minimum 20 years of industry experience with the past 10 years being in a Retail, Transpiration and Logistics consulting leadership position.
  • Exposure to tier-1 retail/distribution/logistics and transportation products.
  • Functional expertise in retail, transportation, logistics and warehouse management.
  • Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream from a consulting engagement.
  • Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation.
  • Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value-based pitches.
  • Worked with some of the largest Retail and Transportation segments including freight, air, shipping, etc.

Sell & Deliver

  • Ability to construct presentation slides that are effective in conveying the intended message and visually pleasing to a high level of standard. Additionally, candidate needs to have the ability to present the information effectively to the audience.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, relationship building and networking skills on the client side, ecosystem partners and internal organization.
  • Successful in generating consulting business from new and existing accounts and have the capability to drive and lead customer relationships into multimillion-dollar engagements.
  • Delivery and program expertise with experience in handling multi shore consulting projects with distributed teams delivering sustainable customer value.
  • Know-how to comprehend complex scenarios, propose effective implementation plans & solutions in tackling challenges.

Driving Transformation

  • Ability to probe customers, engage in conversations to uncover the underlying problems and shape the challenges into structured problem statements.
  • Comes with a good level of transformation proposition definition and engagement shaping using core and disruptive technologies to solve business problems for tangible business benefits at large enterprise clients.
  • Be a champion and passionate advocate for Transformation to reposition Wipro as a strategic partner to accelerate and sustain customer value. The individual must be an ambassador for Digital Adoption and the Digital Transformation for the industry.
  • Ability to drive and lead the strategic execution, manage change, build relationships with clients, partners, motivate teams and achieve results.
  • Have a good understanding of the IT and digital technology, including its application to the Consumer

  • Has some experience of nurturing, developing, mentoring of top talent into future consulting business leaders.
